When You Thought I Wasn't Looking

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you sell nude pictures of me to your co-workers, and I wanted to a cut of the profits.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you shoot a stray cat, and I learned where dinner comes from.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I heard you say "GOD DAMN!", and I knew there is a God whose damnation I could always invoke.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you laugh at a friend who was sick, and I learned that we should only go out with people of the opposite sex.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you give your money to the girl next door, and I learned that she'll do anything for a little extra cash.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I felt you kiss me goodnight in Special Places and I felt special.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw how you handle your responsibilities, and I learned that I was genetically doomed to be a loser when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw your eyes turn red and I learned that sometimes mommies and daddies smoke funny cigarettes.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I looked at you and wanted to say, "You think I don't pay attention! Here's a warrant for your arrest."
