The Raider's Lament
No honest business is ever conducted at an L3 point. But the crew of the Raider's Lament make a living doing jobs that don't fall into normal categories, require no questions asked, and are often just one side, or the other, of legality. So when a strange woman from the stellar outback offers them a contract to take a mysterious, but valuable, cargo to an evasive man from the criminal underworld, it's just business as usual. Join the crew for a merry jaunt of high adventure and action as they seek to fulfill their commission yet stay on the right side of the law.
Ship's Complement
 |
Seldon
After retiring from the Navy as a Junior officer he entered the merchant marines.
When attacked by aggressive pirates, his spirited defense of the ship impressed the Navy enough
to reward him with a decomissioned ship-of-the-line. He named this The Raider's Lament
and contracts out for high security operations.

The Chief
Anything that is broken, The Chief can fix. But he makes that hard by keeping all the equipment
he is charged with in top-knotch shape. After many hard years in the Navy he is a stickler
for discipline, but is equally enthusiastic about hitting the bars after the job is done.

Elise
Straightforward and organized, Elise runs the operations and electronics of The Raider's Lament.
She is seldom seen far from a computer terminal and is an expert at information aquisition,
processing, and game modification.
|
Juanita
All things gold or glittery attract Juania. At least when she isn't hip deep in grease
from The Chief's last maintenance check. Versitile with gun or medkit, she's first on
the list when the ship needs someone who can do that odd job.

 |
Vikhagen
Seasoned vetarans reach for the barf bag when flying with Vikhagen in the Lament's Dory
"The Sweeping Generalization". Fueled by equal parts of coffee and adrenaline,
she leaps before she looks, talks before she thinks, and gets the crew out of trouble
at least as often as she gets them into it.
|
Kwok
A new hire to the ship, Kwok is rash and brash, but has only proved his worth at video games.
His hands itch to try out The Lament's Particle Accelerator turrets at live targets. If
only he can convince the Captain that it's time to stop talking!

Heleni
Born in space and having travelled all the Forty Worlds and beyond, Heleni has seen more
than the rest of the ship's complement, even though she is the youngest. She is quiet,
introspective, and good at seeing the merits of all sides of a situation. This insight,
however, is hard to mesh with command decisions.
